1. THRILLER!!! Zombie dancers on Halloween in Georgestown. Wednesday, October 31st, at 6:35 AND 6:45 p.m., at the corner of Hayward Avenue and Maxse Street.
Neighbourhood Dance Works’ amazing zombie dancers will perform Michael Jackson’s famous “Thriller Dance” in full zombie character.

2. Pumpkin Walk returns to Bannerman Park. Thursday, November 1st from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Bring your carved pumpkin to Bannerman Park to light up the Loop with a huge Jack o’Lantern display.

Soapstone Carving. Thursday, November 15th, 7:00-9:00 p.m. $25.00.

7. Ordinary Spokes: bike repair for all. 151 Empire Avenue. (at the Tool Library). Thursday from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m.

8. Eating in Georgestown.
a. The Georgestown Cafe and Bookshelf ( are open 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, and from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. 73 Hayward Avenue, 709-579-7134.

b. The Georgestown Bakery, 60 Hayward Avenue, is open from Tuesday until Friday, from 7:00 until 5:30 p.m., and on Saturday from 7:00 until 3:00. Bagels, baguettes, breads of many varieties as well as sweets! 753-8099.

c. The Hungry Heart Cafe ( . 142 Military Road, 738-6164. The cafe is open Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Closed on Saturday and Sunday.

d. The Rooms Café. 9 Bonaventure Avenue.
i. Opening hours. Monday CLOSED; Tuesday 10 am – 5 pm; Wednesday 10 am – 9 pm; Thursday 10 am – 5 pm; Friday 10 am – 10 pm (Archives close at 5); Saturday 10 am – 5 pm; and Sunday Noon – 5 pm (Archives closed)
