1. Non-profits/Small Business Drop in at the St. John’s Tool Library
The Tool Library is hosting an informal drop-in open house for non-profit, charity, and small business owners, employees, and volunteers Tuesday, Mar 3rd, 1:30-3:00pm. The St. John’s Tool Library aims to make some of your projects simpler by providing cost-effective tool borrowing so that you can save time, money, and storage space. 2. Tool Library Garage/Yard Sale
Swing by the Tool Library on Saturday, March 7th during open hours (9:00am-1:00pm). The Tool Library will be selling some of our excess tools and other items. For more information, visit

3. Public Engagement Campaign on the Future of St. John’s Public Libraries
The St. John’s Public Libraries Board (SJPLB) is excited to launch a visioning campaign to mark the 200th anniversary of the founding of the St. John’s Library system. The Once & Future Library campaign aims to connect with the public on library planning and invites input from everyone towards upcoming renovations to the second floor of the A C Hunter Library, funded in significant part by our board. 4. Heritage Financial Incentives Program
Most if not all buildings in Georgestown are located in one of St. John’s three Heritage Areas and are therefore eligible for the City’s Heritage Financial Incentives Program. Applications are accepted between March 1st and May 1st and can be found on the City of St. John’s website:

b. Ordinary Spokes: bike repair for all. You can tune up your bike, meet other cyclists, or purchase an affordable refurbished bike.

c. St. John’s Baby Clothes Library. A new library is set to open in St. John’s later this fall for sharing baby clothes, from size preemie to 2T. Clothes will be able to be picked up and dropped off at the St. John’s Tool Library during its hours of operation.

a. The Georgestown Café and Bookshelf, 73 Hayward Ave, 579-7134. Open 8:00am until 5:00pm from Monday to Saturday, and from 10:00am until 5:00pm on Sunday.
b. The Georgestown Bakery, 60 Hayward Ave, 753-8099. Open from Tuesday until Friday, from 7:00 until 5:30pm, and on Saturday from 7:00 until 3:00. Bagels, baguettes, breads of many varieties as well as sweets!
c. The Hungry Heart Café, 142 Military Rd, 738-6164. Open Tuesday to Saturday, from 8:00am until 3:00pm. Brunch is served on Saturday.
d. The Rooms Café, 9 Bonaventure Ave. Open Monday 10am‑5pm; Tuesday 10am‑5pm; Wednesday 10am – 9 pm; Thursday 10am-5pm; Friday 10am‑10pm (Archives close at 5); Saturday 10am‑5pm; and Sunday Noon‑5pm (Archives closed).
