1. Some updates post Snowmageddon
* Metrobus: rides will be free for all Metrobus and GoBus users until February 7; commuters are encouraged to try the bus and to leave their cars at home during this challenging period
* All high schools in the St. John’s metro region will be open today (January 27th) for all students who attend those facilities. A further announcement will be made Monday afternoon with respect to all remaining schools in the St. John’s metro region
* The Loop at Bannerman park, along with all City facilities will open as scheduled and resume operations
* Garbage and Recycling curbside collection resumes on the regular collection schedule for this week

2. Celebrate Heritage Week at the Lantern
Celebrate Heritage Week at the Lantern on February 18th, 2020. Local architect Grant Genova will be speaking on 2020 Vision: Bringing the Past into the Future. Refreshments will be served.

3. Self-Acceptance, Self-Care and Self-Compassion (Stella’s Circle)
This event will be rescheduled.

b. Ordinary Spokes: bike repair for all. You can tune up your bike, meet other cyclists, or purchase an affordable refurbished bike.
Hours of Operation: Thursdays 5:30‑8:30pm
c. St. John’s Baby Clothes Library. A new library is set to open in St. John’s later this fall for sharing baby clothes, from size preemie to 2T. Clothes will be able to be picked up and dropped off at the St. John’s Tool Library during its hours of operation.

8. Eating in Georgestown
a. The Georgestown Café and Bookshelf, 73 Hayward Ave, 579-7134. Open 8:00am until 5:00pm from Monday to Saturday, and from 10:00am until 5:00pm on Sunday.
b. The Georgestown Bakery, 60 Hayward Ave, 753-8099. Open from Tuesday until Friday, from 7:00 until 5:30pm, and on Saturday from 7:00 until 3:00. Bagels, baguettes, breads of many varieties as well as sweets!
c. The Hungry Heart Café, 142 Military Rd, 738-6164. Open Tuesday to Saturday, from 8:00am until 3:00pm. Brunch is served on Saturday.
d. The Rooms Café, 9 Bonaventure Ave. Open Monday 10am‑5pm; Tuesday 10am‑5pm; Wednesday 10am – 9 pm; Thursday 10am-5pm; Friday 10am‑10pm (Archives close at 5); Saturday 10am‑5pm; and Sunday Noon‑5pm (Archives closed).
